I cannot tell you how much I miss the ocean. I spent every free moment at my grandparents’ house in San Juan Capistrano and now the closest I am to water is a creek in my back yard.
Wow Lisa.. I have not had a chance to get over here since earlier this week. Your photos for the past few days are wonderful!!! I love the ones of everyday life.. and this set of the ocean are wonderful!!!
@ Lara Wait until you see the pictures of the Santa Monica Pier I took today. I’ve driven through San Juan Capistrano, but haven’t stopped yet. I need to do that……………….:)
@ Kim Thank you so much. That means a lot coming from you. Please stay tuned for next week.
Well, well, well, you certainly are cutting edge, original and impressive…….. Lisa, you keep coming up with some great stuff and the slide show is a great touch.
Is it possible you dream these ideas up when you bake all those pies… LOL
Be good,
Frank
PS: the Book Festival @ UCLA is coming up. Be sure to ck the writers in attendance and have your favorite autograph a book.
Lisa, love your photos of local spots! I do similar photos in my neck of the woods. My photo blog, which I recently started, is at http://vgaphotos.blogspot.com
Would love to get your perspective and opinion on how to make the photos better.

@ David I agree. It looked like he was having a good time.
@ Henie I had a great day at the beach, and the weather was fantastic.
@ Frank No pies here, just a lot of bread, and thank you for your kind words. Yes, I have the upcoming Book Festival on my calendar, as well as a concert at the Getty…………….:)
@ FrugalNYC I’m looking forward to seeing your NYC photos. I’m too new at photography to offer suggestions. I just like looking at other people’s photos, especially with Travelin’ Local……….:)
Hi Lisa – I sure like this slideshow series. Just as you wrote, that’s probably what was going through the little boys mind. Your photos make me miss the ocean. Now I only get to see it about once a year. **Sigh**
BTW: I love all of the fabulous changes you’ve been making to your blog. Great job!
How I love stories like this! As mom and grandmom, I can relive this one many times over. I can even remember feeling the same exuberance as a child on the Gulf Coast in Florida. Thanks for telling it so well.

Hi Lisa. This was really cute! In that last shot it seems he is the only one who made it. His three comrades are nowhere to be found.
