I love taking staycations or daycations as we call them in San Francisco. There is so much to do and see here.

However after taking a look at your page it looks like we will have to venture down south and take a look around the “Grove”.

@Davina, Due to the economics situation, many people are taking vacation closer to home, so I’m not surprised you’re seeing more and more “staycations.”

Here in LA, I can have a staycation any day of the week.

Hi Lisa. With no word of a lie, this is the third blog post I've read in the last hour or so, that has mentioned "staycations". And until now, I had never heard that word before. @carla, When our kids were younger, my sisters and I used to get together quite often. We’d almost always go shopping, buying a few items, but doing a lot of people watching.

Here in SoCal, it’s great to sit outside, enjoy the fresh air, and people watch.

I love shopping. Now I rarely buy anything from national chain stores, but I still enjoy the process of walking, browsing and window shopping - especially at "outdoor malls". carla’s last blog post..College or bust?
