A Great Sunset Watching Spot at Rancho Palos Verdes
Jan 02, 2011
A few days ago, I went hiking at Rancho Palos Verdes. Although I’ve never been there before, and didn’t know too much about the area where I was going and the day was getting short, I decided to take my chances and check out the place anyway.
Although I’m going to save the actual hike for another story, today, I just want to share one of the best locations for watching the sun set over the ocean:
Located where Crenshaw Boulevard ends, Del Cerro Park overlooks the glorious Pacific Ocean-here’s a few views I was able to enjoy I’d like to share:
Now, I have another “favorite” place to watch the sunset. Where’s yours?

thanks for pointing out this hidden treasure, right in my backyard!

@pedrogirl, Have you been here before? On Wednesday, I’ll be featuring the 3 mile hike I took here.

Thanks for the post! I heartily agree Del Cerro Park is a wonderful spot to view a sunset. We live near by and have many photos from that spot at different times of day – yours are wonderful by the way. From that location you can also see up and down the coast. We have many miles of trails for you to enjoy in the area.
