@ Alik Levin You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour. There’s a lot to see.

@ Kevin I haven’t been to the Forum yet, but it’s now owned by a church which uses it for its Sunday services. The Lakers and Kings used it until they moved to the Staples Center. It’s interesting how buildings used for one thing in the past now serve a totally different purpose.

@ Carla The more I’m downtown, the more I like the seeing the streets, the people, the movement, and the activities. So many stories………….:)

@ Lisa’s Chaos I do love it here. I haven’t even touched on so many things, but I will. My calendar is filling up quickly.

It's neat to see the images of the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center. The last time I was in the convention center was in the late 1970's for Auto Expo, the place sure has changed. Is the old Los Angeles Forum still used or has it been torn down? I used to watch Lakers and Kings games there years ago as well as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and all the other big bands of the era. @ Patricia LA has its problems just like any other city, but work is being done to try to solve those issues. And I due admit that summers here can be very hot, but after experiencing many summers on the East Coast, where hot and humid create a climate of sweating the minute you walk out the door, LA’s summers don’t seem so bad.

My only visit to LA was about poverty and falling down schools and heat. I was so hot the whole trip....Of course I have movie images of the city in my head and news stories. It was lovely to see your view of the changes and the re visioning of the city and how it is coming together. I might want to visit again - maybe in the winter! @ Diane C. You’re so right about the driving and the parking. No where could I have parked for less than $7.00 while, because I have an annual bus pass, the Metro was basically free.

@ David You’re welcome. I’m looking forward to going down for a concert. I don’t know which one yet, but it will be fun.

@ Mike Foster I totally agree, and I look forward to LA’s growth and development. For cities to thrive, they must survive.

@ Jannie Funster It was pretty cool, with large screen TVs all over the place. I can just imagine what an outdoor concert would look like.

I feel it's vital for cities to fix, redo, renovate, modernize, and reshape, as you say, their downtowns. NYC did it years ago, so did San Diego.
