Lisa, your pictures are iconic and really define your comprehensive point of view of your subject matter--both from a high altitude overview as well as a 180 degree on-the-ground basis. Your content is even better. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's submissions about their favorite movie.

Hi Lisa, Lance and All!

What a fabulous idea! I am just so proud of Lisa's portrayal of my backyard, my city!

To see it through Lisa's eyes gives one like me a new appreciation of what I so often take for granted by living here!

Since I happen to be in the midst of the Entertainment business it is difficult for me to say what my current favorite movie is but here's a few old and not so old ones:

1)Two for the Road (Audrey Hepburn/Albert Finney
2)One Fine Day (Michelle Pfeiffer/George Clooney)
3) The Bucket List (Jack Nicholson/Morgan Freeman
4) And of course Casablanca!

Lisa & Lance: Since I am local, I am disqualifying myself from the contest! I'll just be the cheerleader!

Great collaboration guys! :~)

"Dreams aren't just for movies!" ~Henie~

@ Lisa You know, even living here so close to where the movies are made, I still haven't seen any actually being made. I did see part of a movie being made when I lived in MD. It was great.

Awesome! I love walking in places where movies have been filmed and was excited to get to see some of the filming of Public Enemies last year. :)

@ Mike History and cities do go together, and even though LA's history isn't as long as others, it's rich in diversity.

Enjoy the old history in cities like L.A. As for films, I've reviewed a few recently at my vid site. My fav? Will have to ponder that as I consider a post about it.

@ Barb I'll have to check it out. I quickly looked up the plot, and it looks like something I would like. Plus, the cast looks very good. I've been a Christopher Plummer fan since I first saw him in The Sound of Music

@ Urban Panther Yupp, I can watch Independence Day over and over. I look forward to seeing your movie post.

I LOVE Independence Day. It is one of the few movies I will watch over and over again. (Ha! 1 point for me). Okay, and since I love a challenge, this Thursday's post will be on my favourite movie. Or movies, if I can't pin it down to one.

One of my favorites was filmed in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, not Hollywood. Somewhere in Time, with Jane Seymour, Christopher Reeves, and Christopher Plummer. It is considered a cult film -- outside mainstream or conventional thinking and with a small but dedicated fanbase. (I find the definition of cult film amusing. I'm not a dedicated fan; I just own the movie and like it.)

The location of the film and the music are as captivating to me as the story.
