I was born and raised in Long Beach, lived there for 54 years, until we retired to Murrieta. It’s a great city, always changing and never static. Great photos.

Lisa your story about Long Beach is spot-on. When I first moved to Los Angeles after University, I had a friend from San Diego, that was living there and who showed me around quite a bit.

Your initial impressions of the greatness and resources that the city has–cultural, physical, business, education, etc–is astonishing.

BTW your photos are simply gorgeous and I can’t wait to read more about the things you find to go and do in Long Beach for upcoming coverage.

People should definitely make an effort to visit there. It’s a lot different in some ways than any other California city.
