I'm actually surprised there aren't more dog parks in LA. I live in a semi-rural area, and we have several dog parks. My dogs love it - they can romp around with all the other dogs off leash. As long as people only bring well mannered dogs, it's a great thing! I know there have been some complaints by dog owners that there aren't enough dog parks, but the ones we have are good, and from what I've seen, they are being well used. This post is great! NYC has similar Dog Parks, though I have not seen any equipped as well as the one you show in your photos. One that comes to mind is Madison Square park, in the Flatiron district in NYC. Another is in the park by Gracie Mansion called Carl Schurz Park
